Three Card Poker is a relatively new poker game, its creation being credited to Derek Webb in England in the mid 1990’s. In this poker game the players bet against the house and not each other.
In Las Vegas, a first attempt yielded mixed results but Three Card Poker was later broken into the U.S. state of Mississippi as a familiar favourite.
Derek Webb, the game’s inventor, combines these factors to a tee. Learning the basics of how to play three card poker only takes a minute or two. Of course, you want to refine your play with a proven strategy, but we’ll get to that part later. For now, let’s explain 3 card poker rules and guide you through the gameplay. Three card poker rules. Equipment
A single deck of cards, combined for every hand is played in Three Card Poker.
Whether you play in a live casino or online casino, that’s real. For live casinos, the mixing normally takes place with an electronic mixer.
Seven-player tables are used in live casinos with the regular blackjack size.
The table layout consists:
- The 3 Card Poker logo
- The dealer puts his cards in three card-sized spaces.
- A place of circular bets called ‘Pair Plus.’
- A location of “Ante” in a diamond-shaped betting
- The “Play” betting place is a card-shaped spot.
- The Pair Plus and the ante bonus reward tables
- A brief description of three rules for card poker.
Ranking of Hands
Straights are more unusual and overshadowed in Three Card Poker than flushes. Flushes outrank straights in five-card games. This leaves Three Card Poker with the following rank of hands:
- Easy flush
- Three of a kind
- Line
- Flush
- The pair
- High card
For Three Card Poker, you don’t have a full house, nor do you, clearly, get four.
Procedures
Two easy ways to play all Three Card Poker tables are the Ante-Play and Pair Plus. There are optional side bets in some tables. Either you play ante, Pair Plus, or both. You should choose.
You must first place a wager on the triangular ante space to play ante-play. You have to place a wager in the circular Pair Plus space before you play Pair Plus.
The dealer then hands out three cards to each player. You can look at your cards after all cards are distributed
You don’t need to do anything else if you just play Pair Plus. There is no other option or wager. You have to decide whether to play or fold when playing before play.
When you play, a play bet equal to your ante must be made. The bet can not be greater or less than the ante.
They have to be the same size. Place the cards face down next to your bet, if you put the bet or if you play Pair Plus and you have a winner.
Place cards before your bet to show the dealer you are folding if you don’t have any play bet and you don’t have a Pair Plus winner.

The dealer will pick up your ante and clear your cards when you see your cards and fold them. Once every player has opted to play or fold, the dealer turns face up his cards.
The dealer can play if the hand of the dealer is Queen high or better. Both ante and bets are in practice, that means. Your hand must override the dealers in order to win.

If you win, both ante and play wagers pay you even money. The dealer wins all bets if you lose. The dealer doesn’t play if his card is jack-high and lower.
Your hand must not beat the dealer in this case. Antes are compensated at even money. Play bets are not in motion and are held by the players.
